Domain Setup
Connect your domain to funnels and pages
Before you begin
- Estimated time
- 20–30 minutes, plus DNS propagation wait
- Have ready
- Login access to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Squarespace, Google Domains, etc.) and a decision on which subdomain you will use.
Use a subdomain such as go.yourbusiness.com. Your main site keeps working exactly as it does now, and your funnels and booking pages live alongside it.

- You keep the traffic if you ever move platforms

- Links show a generic platform address
- Lower trust and lower conversion on cold traffic

- Links break entirely if you ever migrate
How to set it up
Choose your subdomain
Pick one prefix and stick to it. Common choices:
go.yourbusiness.com— general purpose, works for everythingbook.yourbusiness.com— if it is mostly schedulinghi.yourbusiness.comorjoin.yourbusiness.com— short and friendly for campaigns
Shorter is better. It gets typed, texted, and printed.
Add the domain in the platform
Go to Settings → Domains and add your chosen subdomain. The platform will display the DNS record you need to create — normally a single CNAME.
Leave this tab open. You will copy from it in the next step.
Open your DNS settings at your registrar
Sign in wherever you bought the domain and find the DNS management area. It is usually labelled DNS, DNS Management, Advanced DNS, or Name servers and DNS.
If your domain uses Cloudflare or another DNS provider separately from where you bought it, make the change at the DNS provider, not the registrar.
Create the CNAME record
Add a new record with these values:
- Type: CNAME
- Name / Host: just the prefix —
go, notgo.yourbusiness.com - Value / Points to: the exact target shown in the platform
- TTL: leave at automatic or default
Most registrars append your domain automatically. Entering the full subdomain creates
go.yourbusiness.com.yourbusiness.com, which will never resolve.Remove any conflicting record
If a record already exists with the same name, edit it rather than adding a second. Two records on the same host with different values will behave unpredictably.
Turn off proxying if you use Cloudflare
Set the record to DNS only (grey cloud, not orange). Proxying interferes with the certificate the platform issues for your subdomain.
Wait, then verify
Propagation is usually a few minutes but can take up to 48 hours. Return to Settings → Domains and click verify.
Do not conclude it has failed inside the first hour. Make a coffee and come back.
Test in a browser
Load a page on the new subdomain. You should see a padlock and no certificate warning. If you see a warning, the certificate has not issued yet — wait a little longer and retry.
Set it as your default
Once verified, set the domain as the default for new funnels and pages so you are not selecting it manually every time.
By far the most common failure. If your registrar's help text shows an example like www rather than www.yourdomain.com, enter only the prefix.
Both append the domain automatically. Enter go in the Host field. Namecheap labels the value field Target; GoDaddy labels it Points to.
Note what you changed and when. If something breaks in three months you will want to know what was touched.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Verification keeps failing after 48 hours | Check the record type is CNAME, not A. Then check the host field for a doubled domain. |
| Page loads but shows a certificate warning | The certificate is still issuing. Give it a few more hours. If it persists past 24 hours, raise a ticket. |
| Domain worked, then stopped | Someone changed DNS, or the registration lapsed. Check your registrar first. |
| Cloudflare shows an SSL loop error | Proxying is on. Switch the record to DNS only, or set Cloudflare's SSL mode to Full. |
FAQ
Can I use my root domain instead of a subdomain?
Only if you want the platform to serve your main website. If you already have a site at that address, using the root will replace it.
Can I connect more than one domain?
Yes. Repeat the process for each. Many businesses run one subdomain for booking and another for campaigns.
Do I need to buy a new domain?
No. A subdomain of a domain you already own costs nothing extra.
What if my website is on Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress?
Those stay exactly as they are. You are adding one subdomain record, not moving your site.
